My clients have many goals including addressing symptoms like depression or anxiety, working through losses and role transitions, improving functioning in relationships or work, etc. I provide a holistic approach to care, offering support through psychotherapy ("skills"), biology (which can mean "pills"), and behaviors (e.g., healthy activities). For some people, using one of those tools is enough but for many, improving may require all three. If medications are used, I generally try to use the lowest number & dosages that are helpful.
A bit about me: I majored in psychology at Johns Hopkins University. I attended medical school at SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn, NY and residency at the Washington University in St. Louis. I now work part-time at UW as a Clinical Assistant Professor and part time at West Coast Psychiatry. I look forward to connecting with you.
