Dr. Chizoba Ezepue provides emergency care for stroke patients, including both ischemic stroke – the most common type, caused by a blood clot – and hemorrhagic stroke – the result of bleeding in the brain from an aneurysm, arteriovenous malformation (AVM), or broken artery wall. He also provides follow-up care for stroke survivors as well as performs procedures to remove clots in the blood vessels of the brain to treat an acute stroke, placing coils into the pouch of an aneurysm sac to occlude it, placing a stent in a symptomatic narrow carotid vessel and performing procedures to occlude abnormal connection between blood vessels in the brain.
He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, Society of Vascular and Interventional Neurology and Society of Neurointerventional Surgery. He is board certified in Adult Neurology and Vascular Neurology.
Dr. Ezepue is a former soccer referee with the U.S. Soccer Federation.
