My focus:

I am a Mayo Clinic and Harvard-trained psychiatrist with nearly 20 years of experience working in healthcare. I discovered a love for the humanities—notably literature and philosophy—early in life due to the profound way in which they helped me to understand and appreciate the human condition. This eventually merged with an interest in medicine and a desire to help improve people's lives. My interactions with patients tend to be relational and existentially-oriented, focusing heavily on personal growth and empowerment within a larger context of meaning and values.
I trained also at Vanderbilt, University of Washington, and Seattle Psychoanalytic Institute, with an extensive background in research, speaking, and publishing. I served as chief resident at UW, graduating with distinction in advanced psychotherapy. Currently, I serve as clinical faculty at UW training future generations of doctors.
My services include existential psychotherapy, pharmacologic treatment, and coaching/personal development. Please see my website to learn more about my practice. I look forward to hearing from you!
