Dr. Hinton is an adult and child/adolescent psychiatrist with a passion for evaluating and treating adults, children adolescents in addition to service members and veterans he helped throughout his Air Force career. He takes on patients with an array of mental health related issues.  Dr Hinton completed medical school in 1995 at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences USU, Bethesda MD and completed his child/adolescent psychiatry fellowship training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School UTSW at Dallas.  In 2015, he retired after 26 plus years of active duty service in the U.S. Air Force.  He has received numerous civilian and military honors and awards including but not limited to the Psychiatry Resident of the Year Award Pfizer US Pharmaceuticals in 1999, Squadron Officer of the Quarter, Army Achievement, Meritorious Service Medals, etc.  During his last assignment at Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center Joint Base San Antonio Lackland AFB, Dr. Hinton was the Chief Psychiatry Services Chief ChildAdolescent Mental Health Services and was an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
