I am a Harvard trained psychiatrist, Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry (2012) and in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (2013) by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. My background includes also a M.A. and doctoral level education in Clinical Psychology (PsyD candidate); and a M.A. in Anthropology. I am a graduate of a fellowship in psychoanalysis.
I am currently treating children, adolescents, and adults. I offer comprehensive evaluations and individualized treatments, integrating evidenced-based pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy. I also offer parent consultations and school consultations.
During the evaluation phase I will learn as much as possible about you (or your child, if your child is brought for treatment) and your treatment goals. Then, I will provide you with a range of options and detailed information about the risks/benefits of each option.
My approach includes individual psychotherapy, parent-child therapy, play therapy for preschoolers, or family therapy. I communicate closely with my clients' therapists, educators, pediatricians, and primary care physicians.
While I will assist you in designing a safe treatment plan, you will be the one choosing what works best for you. I care that you reach your goals, so I will work with you to keep your motivation strong, every step of the way.
It is my greatest joy to help my clients develop productive lives, enjoy healthy life styles, and build the kinds of relationships they want.
