Dr. Sanaz Parsa is board certified in general adult psychiatry. She completed her psychiatry residency training at Maimonides Medical Center in New York City, where she served as chief resident. During residency, she received awards for teaching and her presentation skills. Pursuing her interest in medical-legal issues, dr. Parsa completed a fellowship in forensic psychiatry at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY, where she received extensive exposure to all aspects of psychiatry and the law.
Her training included comprehensive report writing and effective testimony. Through her studies in new york, she obtained valuable research experience and continues building on her strong educational foundation. Dr.Parsa has worked at the San Quentin state prison, treating serious mental illness in a challenging incarcerated population. This intensive work sharpened Dr.Parsa's advanced psychopharmacology skills and allows her to help her current patients reach significant improvements quickly and effectively.
